Dr. Goldsmith is a world authority on leadership coaching and one of a select few executive advisors who has worked with over 150 major CEOs and their management teams. He is the author or editor of 35 books, which includes "Triggers," the New York Times bestsellers "MOJO" and "What Got You Here Won't Get You There" – winner of the Harold Longman Award for Business Book of the Year and one of the BookScan top five bestselling management books in the past ten years. Marshall Goldsmith teaches executive education at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business, including Tuck Executive Program, Leadership and Strategic Impact, Smith-Tuck Global Leaders Program for Women, Global Leadership 2030, and Custom Engagement.
Prof. Katherine W. Phillips joined the faculty at Columbia Business School as the Paul Calello Professor of Leadership and Ethics in fall of 2011. Prior to this, she was an Associate Professor of Management and Organizations at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and Co-Director and Founder of Northwestern’s Center on the Science of Diversity. She has also been a Visiting Professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Visiting Scholar at the Center for Advanced Studies in Behavioral Sciences. Professor Phillips received her PhD in Organizational Behavior from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, and her bachelor's degree is in psychology from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
Adam Galinsky received his Ph.D. from Princeton University and his B.A. from Harvard University. Professor Galinsky has published more than 200 scientific articles, chapters, and teaching cases in the fields of management and social psychology. His research and teaching focus on leadership, power, negotiations, decision-making, diversity, and ethics. In 2012, Professor Galinsky was selected as one of the World’s 50 Best B-School Professors by Poets and Quants. He twice won the Chair’s Core Course teaching award at Kellogg for teaching excellence on the topic of leadership. He also received a teaching award at Princeton University.
John Van Maanen is the Erwin H. Schell Professor of Management and a Professor of Organization Studies at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Van Maanen is an ethnographer of organizations ranging from police organizations to educational institutions, as well as a variety of business firms. In addition, he has worked with numerous public and private organizations in North America, Europe, and Asia, including BP, IBM, BMW, Siemens, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, Lafarge, Mars, Warburg Dillon Read, Sabanci University, and the National University of Technology (Singapore). He has served as the faculty chair of the MIT Sloan Fellows Program at MIT and as the head of the Organization Studies Group within the Sloan School. He has been a Visiting Professor at Yale University, University of Surrey in the UK, INSEAD in France, and is an Honorary Fellow at Cambridge University.
Carleton Smith is a Data Science educator and practitioner in Chicago, IL. Carleton has taught several data science courses at General Assembly and has served as the Lead Data Science Instructor for a number of corporate training engagements. Before becoming an instructor, Carleton worked on data projects in the finance, health care, and medical research domains. Carleton has an MS in Predictive Analytics from DePaul University and a BS in Entrepreneurship from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
James H. Faghmous is a visiting assistant professor at Stanford University where he researches and mentors on applying artificial intelligence to emerging population health problems.James received his PhD in computer science from the University of Minnesota where his dissertation on AI and climate change received the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award in Science and Engineering.
Jacob is a mathematics educator, with a PhD in mathematics education from Columbia University. Currently, he teaches mathematics and computing in the Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at The New School in Manhattan, New York. He loves all kinds of problems in mathematics and computing, but especially those dealing with Natural Language Processing and pedagogical problems in the mathematics classroom.
David holds a B.S. in Finance, Information Systems and Statistics from the University of Florida, has served as an AI Fellow, and is finishing his PhD in Advanced Technology Research Methods at Capitol Technology University. David is currently authoring "Applied Artificial Intelligence: Getting Started with AI in Python" for Packt Publishing, and he is the host of the "HumAIn Podcast", a speaker series that explores practical ways to bridge the gap between humans and machines in the Age of Accelerated learning.
